By Car
If you are driving, Dzibilchaltún is located approximately 17 kilometers (about 10.5 miles) north of Mérida. From Mérida, take the Autopista 172 towards Progreso. After about 10 kilometers, take the exit towards Dzibilchaltún. Follow the signs for Dzibilchaltún, and you will arrive at the archaeological site. There is ample parking available on-site, and there may be a small parking fee.
Public Bus
To reach Dzibilchaltún by public transportation, head to the 'CAME' bus terminal in Mérida. Look for buses heading to Progreso or those specifically marked for Dzibilchaltún. The bus ride will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. The fare is quite affordable, typically around 15-20 pesos. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at Dzibilchaltún, as the bus makes several stops.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more convenient option, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service like Uber. Taxis can be found throughout Mérida, and you can ask the driver to take you to Dzibilchaltún. The fare may range from 200 to 300 pesos, depending on your pickup location in the city and traffic conditions.
