If you are driving, start your journey from Merida, the capital of Yucatan. Take the highway Federal 180 towards Tizimin. After approximately 1.5 hours (around 130 km), look for the exit towards Chichen Itza, which is well-marked. Continue for about 15 minutes until you reach the entrance to Grutas de Balancanché, located just a few kilometers from Chichen Itza. There is a parking area available at the site.
