The parking is free, but please note the lighthouse itself is not accessible via car and requires a short walk.
Walking
After parking at the designated area on Lighthouse Road, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles along the scenic trail leading to the Copper Harbor Lighthouse. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views of Lake Superior, so take your time to enjoy the scenery. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path may be uneven in some areas.
Bicycle
For those opting to bike, you can rent bicycles in Copper Harbor. Follow the same route as if you were driving: take M-26 southeast for about 2 miles. Instead of parking, you can bike along Lighthouse Road directly to the lighthouse. The bike ride is about a 15-minute journey, and you can enjoy the fresh air and landscape. Be cautious of pedestrians on the trail.
