Public Transit - Bus
From downtown Detroit, you can catch the #12 bus from the Rosa Parks Transit Center. Board the bus heading towards 'Gratiot & 8 Mile'. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Belle Isle Park' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the conservatory. Head east on the main road inside Belle Isle Park, and follow the signs to the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory located at 4 Inselruhe Ave.
Public Transit - People Mover
Take the Detroit People Mover from any station downtown. Ride to the 'Cobo Hall' station. Exit and transfer to the #25 bus (Gratiot). Board the bus heading towards 'Gratiot & 8 Mile'. After approximately 20 minutes, disembark at the 'Belle Isle Park' stop. Walk eastwards towards the conservatory, following the signs through the park to 4 Inselruhe Ave.
Walking
If you are already near Belle Isle Park, the quickest way is to enter the park from the entrance on E Jefferson Ave. Once inside, follow the main road straight ahead. You'll see directional signs for the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory. It's located at 4 Inselruhe Ave, which is about a 20-minute walk from the park entrance.
Bike Rental
For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from various rental stations in downtown Detroit. Head towards Belle Isle Park via the MacArthur Bridge. Once you enter the island, follow the bike paths towards the conservatory located at 4 Inselruhe Ave. The ride is scenic and should take about 15-20 minutes.
