Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from downtown Grand Rapids, head west on Fulton Street toward the Grand River. Continue straight until you reach the riverbank, where you will find the Grand River Promenade. Follow the promenade north along the river until you reach the Blue Bridge, which is located at the intersection of the river and the bridge's east side.

• Public Transit

  From the Grand Rapids Public Library, walk to the nearest bus stop on Lyon St NW. Board the Route 6 bus toward the 44th St & Kalamazoo Ave. After about 10-15 minutes, get off at the stop on Michigan St NW and walk west toward the Grand River. Once you reach the river, follow the Grand River Promenade north until you arrive at the Blue Bridge.

  If you have access to a bike, start at the Grand Rapids Bike Share station located downtown. Rent a bike and head west on Fulton St until you reach the Grand River. Turn left and follow the river north, using the bike path along the Grand River Promenade. The Blue Bridge will be on your right as you approach the riverbank.

• Rideshare

  Use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Set your destination to 'Blue Footbridge, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.' The driver will take you directly to the location. Make sure to specify that you want to be dropped off near the bridge entrance for the best access.
