Walking
Start from downtown Marquette at the intersection of Washington Street and Third Street. Head north on Third Street until you reach the intersection with Lake Shore Boulevard. Turn left onto Lake Shore Boulevard and continue walking along the scenic waterfront. After about 1 mile, you will reach the entrance to the Marquette Mountain Road on your right. Continue straight on Lake Shore Boulevard, which will turn into Marquette Mountain Road. Follow Marquette Mountain Road for approximately 2.5 miles. You will see a sign for Mt. Marquette Overlook on your left. The overlook trailhead is just a short walk from the parking area.
Biking
Begin your journey at the Marquette Commons, located at 112 S Third St. From there, head north on Third Street until you hit Lake Shore Boulevard. Turn left onto Lake Shore Boulevard and follow the path along the shoreline. After about 1 mile, look for Marquette Mountain Road on your right. Turn right and bike up Marquette Mountain Road for about 2.5 miles. Look for the Mt. Marquette Overlook sign on your left side. The overlook trailhead is a short distance from the parking area.
Public Transit
Take the Marquette Public Transit bus, Route 1, from the downtown area. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Lake Shore Boulevard and Marquette Mountain Road. From there, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles up Marquette Mountain Road. Follow the road until you see the Mt. Marquette Overlook sign on your left. The trailhead will be a short walk from where the bus drops you off.
