Continue on H-58 until you reach the turnoff for the Mosquito Falls Trailhead, located at approximately 6.5 miles from the H-58 junction. The trailhead parking area can accommodate several vehicles, but it can fill up quickly during peak tourist seasons. There is no fee to park at the trailhead.

From the Mosquito Falls Trailhead, begin your hike on the marked trail that leads southward into the woods. The hike to Mosquito Falls is approximately 1.5 miles one way and is moderately challenging due to some elevation changes and uneven terrain. Follow the signs for Mosquito Falls, and be prepared for a scenic trek through the forest. The trail is well-maintained, and most of it is shaded, making it a pleasant hike even on warm days.

Public transportation options to reach the falls are limited. However, you can take the Alger County Public Transit, which operates in the Munising area. You would need to check their schedule in advance, as services may not run frequently. Once you reach the nearest drop-off point, you would need to hike the remaining distance to the Mosquito Falls Trailhead, which is about 2-3 miles depending on your drop-off location. Since public transit does not provide direct access to the trailhead, we recommend considering a rental car or rideshare options for more convenience.
