If you are driving, start from the visitor center at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Head north on M-22 for approximately 4 miles until you reach Empire. Once in Empire, turn left onto Lake Street and follow it until you reach the parking area for the Empire Bluff Trail, which is located at the intersection with S. Manitou Trail. The trailhead is clearly marked. Please note that there may be a nominal parking fee at the trailhead.
