Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the St. Joseph Lighthouse (located at 1 Lighthouse Point, St. Joseph, MI). From the lighthouse, head southeast towards the beach. Walk along the beach to the south until you reach the end of the shoreline. You will then take a right (west) onto W. Ship St. Continue walking on W. Ship St. until you reach the intersection with N. Lake St. Continue south on N. Lake St. until you reach the intersection with E. Napier Ave. Cross over to the south side of E. Napier Ave. and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Rocky Gap Rd. Turn right onto Rocky Gap Rd. and walk for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance of Rocky Gap Park.

  • Biking

    If you have a bike, start at the St. Joseph Riverwalk. Head north along the Riverwalk Trail, and when you reach the bridge, cross over to the other side. Continue along the trail until you reach E. Napier Ave. From there, head west on E. Napier Ave. for about 1.5 miles. At the intersection with Rocky Gap Rd., turn left (south) and bike for about 1 mile until you arrive at the entrance of Rocky Gap Park.

  • Public Transportation

    Currently, St. Joseph does not have a direct public transport route to Rocky Gap Park. However, you can take the local bus service from downtown St. Joseph to Benton Harbor. Board the bus at the nearest stop to the St. Joseph Riverfront and take it to the Benton Harbor stop near E. Napier Ave. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles south on Rocky Gap Rd. to reach the park entrance.
