Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the center of Koror, where most accommodations and shops are located. Head east towards the main road (Route 1) and follow it until you reach the junction with Route 3. This should take around 20-30 minutes on foot. Once you reach the junction, continue on Route 3 heading north towards Ngiwal. The walk will take you through some local scenery, and you may encounter friendly locals along the way. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Ngardmau Waterfalls.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer a quicker route, consider renting a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Koror. Cycle east on Route 1 until the junction with Route 3. Turn left onto Route 3 and continue north towards Ngiwal. The ride should take about 30-40 minutes depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules. Look for signs directing you to Ngardmau Waterfalls as you approach the area.

• Hiking

  For those who enjoy hiking, after reaching Route 3, you can take a scenic detour through the nearby trails that lead towards the waterfalls. Look for trails that branch off to the left as you head north. These trails can be a bit rugged, so be prepared with sturdy shoes and enough water. This route will allow you to enjoy the lush vegetation and possibly encounter some wildlife, adding to your experience.

• Local Transportation

  You can also inquire about local transportation options, such as 'bush taxis' or shared vans that operate between Koror and Ngiwal. These may not have a fixed schedule, so it’s best to ask locals or your accommodation for the most reliable options. Once you are in Ngiwal, ask the driver to drop you off close to Ngardmau Waterfalls. From there, it will be a short hike to the falls.
