Car
From Big Woods, get onto MN-61 S. Follow MN-61 S for approximately 15 miles until you reach Hastings. In Hastings, turn right onto 7th St E, then take a left onto Vermillion St. Continue straight until you reach the parking area for Vermillion Falls. There is no fee for parking.
Public Transportation
Take the local bus (Metro Transit Route 5) from your location in Big Woods towards Hastings. The bus will drop you at the Hastings Transit Center. From the Transit Center, you can either walk about 1 mile south along Vermillion St or take a taxi to Vermillion Falls. Be aware that bus fare is approximately $2.50, and a taxi may cost around $10 to $15 depending on the service.
Walking
If you are already in Hastings or nearby, you can walk to Vermillion Falls. From downtown Hastings, head south towards Vermillion St and follow it until you reach the falls. The walk is approximately 1 mile and will take around 20-25 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
