Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Gustafson Park, start by heading towards Brainerd, MN. From Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area, take MN-210 E towards Brainerd. Continue on MN-210 E for about 20 miles. As you approach Brainerd, take the exit toward US-169 S. Merge onto US-169 S and continue for approximately 2 miles. Take the exit onto MN-25 S toward Brainerd. Continue on MN-25 S, which will become Washington St. NW. Turn left onto 9th Ave NE, and Gustafson Park will be on your right at the intersection of 9th Ave NE and N St NE.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can start by using the local bus service that operates in the Cuyuna Country area. Check the local transit schedules for routes that head toward Brainerd. Once you arrive in Brainerd, navigate to the nearest bus stop to transfer to a bus that goes towards the downtown area. Get off at a stop near Washington St. NW, then walk to 9th Ave NE and head towards the intersection with N St NE where Gustafson Park is located. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time for accurate timing and any transfer points.

  If you prefer to bike, start from Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area and head towards Brainerd along the designated biking paths. Follow the Cuyuna Lakes State Trail, which connects to Brainerd. As you approach Brainerd, navigate toward Washington St. NW and then to 9th Ave NE. The park will be at the intersection of 9th Ave NE and N St NE. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all biking safety regulations.
