  • Public Bus

    Start at the Duluth Transportation Center located at 215 S 5th Ave, Duluth, MN 55802. Take the DTA bus route 11 towards 'Lakeside.' The bus will take you along the scenic route. Get off at the stop at 'Skyline Parkway & 39th Ave E.' From there, walk east along Skyline Parkway for about 0.5 miles. You will see signs for Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory on your left.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in downtown Duluth. Head east on the Lakewalk, enjoying the beautiful views of Lake Superior. Continue on the Lakewalk until you reach the eastern side of Duluth. From there, take a left onto E Skyline Pkwy, and follow it for about 1.5 miles until you see Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory on your right.

    If you're feeling adventurous and are up for a longer walk, start from downtown Duluth. Head east on Superior St until you reach 5th Ave E, then take a left. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with E Skyline Pkwy. Turn right onto Skyline Pkwy and walk approximately 2 miles. Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory will be located on your left.
