From downtown Ely, start at the intersection of Sheridan Street and 5th Avenue. Head east on Sheridan Street until you reach the stop sign at the intersection with 1st Avenue. Turn left onto 1st Avenue and walk north until you reach the intersection with Pioneer Road. At this intersection, turn right onto Pioneer Road. Continue walking on Pioneer Road, which will eventually curve and become Burntside Lake Road. Follow Burntside Lake Road north for about 2.5 miles until you reach the address 2769 Van Vac Rd, which is where Burntside Lake is located.

Begin your ride from the Ely City Park located on East Sheridan Street. Head east on Sheridan Street, then take a left on 1st Avenue heading north. Continue on 1st Avenue until you reach Pioneer Road and make a right turn. Follow Pioneer Road until it merges into Burntside Lake Road. Stay on Burntside Lake Road for approximately 2.5 miles. Look for the sign indicating 2769 Van Vac Rd, your destination, which leads directly to Burntside Lake.
