If you're traveling by car, start from your location in Gunflint Trail and head south on Gunflint Trail Road (County Road 12). Continue to follow this road for approximately 18 miles. You will pass through beautiful landscapes and possibly spot some wildlife along the way. As you approach Grand Marais, keep an eye out for the signs for Co Rd 12. Turn right onto Co Rd 12, and in about 2 miles, you will see the entrance to George Washington Pines on your left. There is no entry fee for visiting the site, but parking is available nearby.
