Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving in Itasca State Park, start from the main park entrance and follow the park road (Park Headquarters Rd) to the south. After approximately 2 miles, look for the signs indicating 'Preacher's Grove'. Continue straight until you reach the parking area designated for Preacher's Grove. The grove is located a short walk from the parking area.

• Bicycle

  For those cycling in Itasca State Park, you can follow the park's designated bike trails. Start at the park visitor center and take the bike trail that leads south. This will connect you to Park Headquarters Rd. Continue along the road until you see the signs for Preacher's Grove. The path will lead you to the parking area where you can lock your bike and walk to the grove.

• Public Transportation

  While public transportation options are limited within Itasca State Park, if you are coming from nearby towns or cities, you might consider taking a regional bus to the nearest drop-off point. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you directly to the park entrance. Once at the entrance, follow the park road to reach Preacher's Grove as described above.

• Walking

  If you are already within the park and prefer to walk, head towards the main park roads from your current location and follow the signs for Preacher's Grove. Depending on your starting point, it may take 30 minutes to an hour of walking. Make sure to have a map of the park handy to navigate the trails effectively.
