Wisconsin Point Lighthouse: A Beacon of History and Beauty

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head to the city of Superior, Wisconsin. From US Highway 2, take the exit toward WI-35 N. Follow WI-35 N until you reach the intersection with Wisconsin Point Road. Turn right onto Wisconsin Point Road and continue straight for about 2.5 miles. The Wisconsin Point Lighthouse will be at the end of the road, with parking available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Wisconsin Point Lighthouse using public transportation, take a bus to the Superior Transit Center. From the Transit Center, you can take a local taxi or rideshare service to Wisconsin Point. Inform the driver to take you to the end of Wisconsin Point Road, where the lighthouse is located. Be sure to check the bus schedule for any service updates or changes.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Superior. Start at the Superior Public Library, then head south on Belknap Street until you reach WI-35. Continue north on WI-35, then turn onto Wisconsin Point Road. The ride is approximately 5 miles from the library to the lighthouse. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay safe on the roads.

• Walking

  For adventurous walkers, start from the Superior Public Library and walk south on Belknap Street to WI-35. Follow WI-35 north and then turn onto Wisconsin Point Road. While this is a longer trek (around 5 miles), it offers a scenic journey along the way, especially in pleasant weather.
