Car
From Lutsen Mountains, head south on MN-61 S. After approximately 1.5 miles, turn left onto Caribou Trail (CR 4). Continue on Caribou Trail for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with the Superior Hiking Trail. Turn left onto the Superior Hiking Trail. East Poplar River Camp will be on your right after approximately 1 mile. Note that parking may be limited, so arrive early during peak season.

If you are using public transportation, you can take the North Shore Scenic Drive bus service, which runs between Duluth and Grand Marais. Get off at the Lutsen Mountains stop. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach East Poplar River Camp. Make sure to book your taxi in advance, as availability can be limited in this area. The taxi ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
