Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, the Forestville State Park Office is located at 21071 County Rd 118, Preston, MN 55965. From any major city in the Minnesota Driftless Area, use GPS to navigate to this address. If you're coming from Rochester, take US-52 S. After about 30 miles, take the exit for MN-16 W towards Preston. Continue on MN-16 W for approximately 12 miles, then turn left onto County Rd 118. The park office will be on your right.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a Greyhound or a regional bus service to Preston, MN. Once in Preston, you will need to use a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Forestville State Park Office, as public transportation does not extend directly to the park. The taxi ride from downtown Preston to the park office is approximately 10 minutes and may cost around $15. Always check the local bus schedules beforehand to plan your trip.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, biking to Forestville State Park is an excellent choice if you're already in the area. Preston has several bike-friendly routes.
