Look for County Road 30, where you will turn west. Follow County Road 30 for approximately 3 miles until you reach Fort Ridgely at 72404 Co Rd 30, Fairfax, MN 55332. There is no entry fee for visiting the site, but check for any special events that might have associated costs.

• Public Transportation

  Traveling to Fort Ridgely by public transportation is more challenging, as direct routes may not be available. The nearest bus service is from the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, which operates in the region. You can take a bus to New Ulm and then call for a taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining distance of about 18 miles to Fort Ridgely.
