If you are driving to the Cannon River Turtle Preserve SNA, start on U.S. Route 61 heading north or south, depending on your starting point along the Mississippi River. Exit onto MN-19 West toward Red Wing. Follow MN-19 for about 10 miles until you reach Red Wing. Once in Red Wing, turn left onto Cannon Valley Drive (which later becomes Cannondale Rd). Continue on Cannondale Rd until you reach the entrance of the preserve on your right. There is no entrance fee to access the preserve.
