Getting There

• Light Rail

  To reach the Minneapolis Central Library from Saint Paul, first, make your way to the nearest light rail station, which is likely the 'Central Station' located in downtown Saint Paul. Board the Green Line light rail train heading west towards Minneapolis. Stay on the train for about 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Nicollet Mall' stop. From there, walk north on Nicollet Mall for two blocks, and you will find the Minneapolis Central Library at 300 Nicollet Mall on your left.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take the bus, locate the nearest bus stop in Saint Paul. Look for routes that go towards Minneapolis, specifically those that stop at the 'Nicollet Mall' area. One common route is the #53 bus. Once on the bus, it will take approximately 25-30 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Nicollet Mall and walk a short distance north to reach the library at 300 Nicollet Mall.

Once you have a bike, head towards the Mississippi River on the east side of the city. Follow the riverfront bike path north, which connects to the paths leading into Minneapolis. Upon reaching downtown Minneapolis, follow the signs for Nicollet Mall. The library is located at 300 Nicollet Mall, which should be a short ride from the bike paths.

• Walking

  If you are close enough to Minneapolis, you might consider walking. From the nearest point in Saint Paul, head towards the Mississippi River and cross over one of the bridges like the Robert Street Bridge or the Wabasha Street Bridge. Once in Minneapolis, navigate towards Nicollet Mall. The library will be located at 300 Nicollet Mall, which is easily recognizable by its modern architecture.
