Start at the Stillwater Public Library located at 224 3rd St N, Stillwater, MN 55082. Head east on 3rd St N towards Main St N. Turn right onto Main St N and continue walking south. After crossing the river on the Main St bridge, you will reach the end of Main St. Continue walking straight, and you will see the entrance to the St. Croix Boom Site State Wayside on your left. The total walking distance is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 30-40 minutes.

Begin your bike ride at the Stillwater Riverfront Park. Head south on the riverfront trail and follow it along the banks of the St. Croix River. When you reach the Main St bridge, continue across the bridge, then take a left at the end of the bridge onto the trail that leads to the St. Croix Boom Site State Wayside. This route is approximately 2 miles and should take around 15-20 minutes.

Public Transit
From the Stillwater Transit Center located at 1750 S Greeley St, take the Metro Transit bus route 834 towards the Hudson Transit Center. Get off at the stop closest to the St. Croix Boom Site State Wayside (you may need to check the latest schedule). After exiting the bus, walk east towards the river until you reach the wayside. The bus ride should take approximately 20 minutes, depending on the schedule and traffic.
