If you are in downtown Stillwater, start at the intersection of Main Street and Water Street. Head east on Main Street for about two blocks until you reach the intersection with Laurel Street. Turn left onto Laurel Street. Continue walking north on Laurel Street for approximately half a mile. You will pass several residential homes and trees lining the street. As you approach the end of Laurel Street, look for a set of stairs leading down towards the St. Croix River. This is the Laurel Stairs.

If you are near the Stillwater Public Library, take the Metro Transit bus route 364 towards Minnesota State Fair. Get off at the stop on Main Street and Water Street. From there, head east on Main Street for about two blocks until you reach the intersection with Laurel Street.
