Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from downtown Winona, head east on East 3rd Street until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue walking north until you reach the intersection with East 5th Street. Here, you'll want to turn right and continue straight. Follow East 5th Street as it curves into East 6th Street, which will lead you to the Mississippi River. At the river, turn left onto the riverfront path and follow it south. This path will eventually lead you to Old Highway 61. Once you reach Old Highway 61, continue walking south until you see the entrance to Michael LaCanne Memorial Park on your right.

• Biking

  If you are renting a bike in Winona, start from the Winona Bike Share kiosk in downtown. Head toward the riverfront by biking east on East 3rd Street. Turn left onto Main Street and head north until you reach East 5th Street. Turn right onto East 5th Street, then take the next right onto East 6th Street. As you bike down, you'll reach the Mississippi River. Turn left onto the riverfront path and follow it south. Continue until you reach Old Highway 61, then turn right. Michael LaCanne Memorial Park will be on your right side. Enjoy the scenic route along the river!

  For public transport, check the local bus schedule for the Winona Transit System. From downtown Winona, take the bus that heads toward Goodview. You may need to transfer at a stop near the Winona Mall. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at the closest stop to Old Highway 61. Once you disembark, walk south along Old Highway 61 until you reach Michael LaCanne Memorial Park, which will be on your right. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance for the most accurate timing.
