Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Winona Visitor Center located at 924 Huff St, head southeast on Huff St towards Main St. Turn left onto Main St and walk for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and cafes. Continue walking until you see the intersection with W 5th St. Cross Main St and continue straight onto W 5th St, heading west. After about 0.3 miles, you will reach the Welcome to Wisconsin sign, which is located on the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

    Starting from the Winona State University campus, head north on Johnson St towards W 5th St. Turn left onto W 5th St and bike straight for about 1 mile. You will ride past scenic views of the Mississippi River. As you approach the intersection with the state line, look for the Welcome to Wisconsin sign on your right. It's an easy ride with bike lanes available.
