If you are in downtown Winona, start at the Winona County History Center located at 160 Johnson St. Head south on Johnson St towards Main St. Turn right onto Main St and walk until you reach the intersection with 5th St. Turn left onto 5th St and continue walking until you reach the end of the street. You will find yourself at the entrance to Lake Winona, which is located directly ahead.
Biking
Begin your biking journey at the Winona State University campus. Exit the campus and head south on Huff St until you reach E 5th St. Turn left onto E 5th St and bike until you reach Main St. Turn right and continue until you find the entrance to Lake Winona on your right at the end of the street.
Public Transit
For those using public transit, take the Winona Transit bus route that services the downtown area. Board the bus at the nearest stop to you and ask the driver to drop you off near Lake Winona. The bus will take you close to the lake, and from there, it’s just a short walk to the lakefront.
