Getting There

Public Bus
To reach Colter Bay Visitor Center from downtown Jackson, take the JTRAN bus route 1. Board the bus at the Jackson City Hall stop located on East Pearl Street. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 stops until you reach the Jackson Greyhound Station. Transfer to bus route 3 heading towards Northside and stay on for another 10 stops. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Northside Drive and Highway 80. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile northeast to reach the visitor center.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in downtown Jackson. Head north on State Street from the rental shop, continue until you reach Northside Drive. Turn left onto Northside Drive and continue straight for about 3 miles. You will eventually reach Highway 80. Continue straight for another half mile until you arrive at the Colter Bay Visitor Center.

Walking
For those who enjoy walking, start from the Jackson Visitor Center located at 1000 North State Street. Head north on State Street towards East Capitol Street. Turn right on East Capitol Street and continue until you reach Northside Drive. Turn left on Northside Drive and walk approximately 4 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 80. From there, it's about a 0.5-mile walk northeast to the Colter Bay Visitor Center.
