If you are in downtown Vicksburg, start at the Vicksburg Visitor Center located at 601 S Frontage Rd. From the Visitor Center, head east on S Frontage Rd until you reach the intersection with Clay St. Turn left onto Clay St and continue until you reach the intersection with Washington St. Turn right onto Washington St and continue north until you reach the intersection with Given Hill Rd. Turn left onto Given Hill Rd. The Iowa Section of the Vicksburg National Cemetery will be on your right after a few minutes of walking.

To reach the Iowa Section of the Vicksburg National Cemetery using public transportation, you can take the local bus service (check the latest schedule at the Vicksburg Transit website). Board the bus at the nearest stop in downtown Vicksburg. Request to get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Washington St and Given Hill Rd. From there, walk north on Given Hill Rd for about 5 minutes, and you will see the entrance to the cemetery on your left.
