From any location in Bootheel, head north on US-61 toward Cape Girardeau. Continue on US-61 for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with I-55 North. Merge onto I-55 North and follow the signs for St. Louis. After about 50 miles, take exit 40A for I-70 West towards Kansas City. Stay on I-70 for approximately 140 miles. Take exit 20B to merge onto I-470 South toward Lee's Summit. Continue on I-470 South for about 10 miles, then take exit 16 for MO-7 South toward Blue Springs. Follow MO-7 South for about 5 miles, then turn right onto MO-40 West. Burr Oak Woods Conservation Area will be on your left at 1401 NW Park Rd, Blue Springs, MO 64015. The total driving distance is approximately 240 miles and may take around 4 hours depending on traffic conditions.
