Car
If you're driving from central Bootheel, head northwest on US-61 N. Continue on US-61 N for about 35 miles until you reach I-55 N. Merge onto I-55 N and continue for approximately 45 miles. Take exit 276 for I-270 W toward Kansas City. After about 7 miles, take exit 1A to merge onto I-44 W toward Tulsa. Continue on I-44 W for about 7 miles, then take exit 277 toward US-61 S. Merge onto US-61 S and follow the signs for Lone Elk Park. The park entrance will be on your left at 1 Lone Elk Park Rd, Valley Park, MO 63088. Note that there may be a small parking fee, so be prepared for that.
Public Transportation
To reach Lone Elk Park via public transport, start by taking a local bus or shuttle (such as the Bootheel Transit) to the nearest bus station. From there, transfer to a Greyhound bus heading towards St. Louis. Once in St. Louis, you can catch a local metro or bus service that goes to Valley Park. Use a rideshare service or taxi from the Valley Park transit stop to get the remaining distance to Lone Elk Park at 1 Lone Elk Park Rd, Valley Park, MO 63088. Be sure to check the schedules in advance as they may not run frequently, especially on weekends.
