This design is inspired by the 1812 New Madrid, Missouri earthquake, which was so powerful it made the Mississippi River flow backward. Inside, you'll find eight themed galleries filled with over 450 exhibits.Explore authentic shrunken heads, a vampire killing kit, and incredible works of art such as a giant gorilla made from recycled tires and a 14-foot T-Rex covered in Pop-Tart foil. Interactive exhibits like the Vortex Tunnel provide mind-bending experiences with lights and illusions. The museum also features a diverse collection of artifacts, including a matchstick replica of the USS Forrestal and the world's largest ball of yarn.Allow 90 minutes to two hours for a self-guided tour through the Odditorium.
