    Getting There

    Walking

    From the Cape Girardeau Visitor Center located at 400 Broadway St, head east on Broadway St towards Main St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Spanish St. Turn left onto Spanish St and walk for another 0.2 miles. When you reach the intersection with Fort St, turn right. Historic Fort D will be on your left at 920 Fort St. The entire walk is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20-25 minutes.

    Biking

    If you have a bike, start from downtown Cape Girardeau and head east on Broadway St. Continue for about 0.5 miles, then turn left onto Spanish St. Cycle for about 0.2 miles and take a right onto Fort St. Continue straight for a short distance, and you will find Historic Fort D on your left at 920 Fort St. The biking distance is similar to walking, around 1 mile, and will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
