Walking
If you're in downtown Cape Girardeau, start by heading east on Broadway Street toward the intersection with Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Water Street. Turn left onto Water Street and walk along the riverfront, enjoying the views of the Mississippi River. After about a 10-minute walk, you will come to the intersection with Morgan Oak Street. Turn right onto Morgan Oak Street and then take a left onto Aquamsi Street. The Red House Interpretive Center will be on your left at 128 Aquamsi St.
Public Transportation (Bus)
Check the local bus schedule for the Cape Girardeau Transit Authority. If available, board a bus that travels toward the Riverfront area. Disembark at the closest stop to Broadway Street. From there, walk east on Broadway Street until you reach Water Street. Turn left onto Water Street, walking along the riverfront. After about 10 minutes, turn right onto Morgan Oak Street and then left onto Aquamsi Street. The Red House Interpretive Center will be on your left at 128 Aquamsi St.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, start from downtown Cape Girardeau and head east towards the riverfront. Take the bike path along Water Street, enjoying the scenic views of the Mississippi River. After about 10 minutes, turn right onto Morgan Oak Street and then left onto Aquamsi Street.
