From the main parking area of Elephant Rocks State Park, exit the parking lot and head east towards the trailhead. Follow the signs for the trail leading to Devil’s Tollgate, which is approximately a 1.5-mile hike along the designated pathway. The trail is well-marked, so keep an eye out for trail markers. As you walk, enjoy the unique rock formations and lush surroundings of the park.
Biking
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike in Ironton and ride to Elephant Rocks State Park. Once you arrive at the park, use the same trail leading from the parking area toward Devil’s Tollgate. Ensure your bike is equipped for off-road terrain, as the trail may have uneven surfaces. The ride to Devil’s Tollgate is about 1.5 miles from the park entrance.
