Lovers' Leap is a 5-acre park perched atop a bluff, offering panoramic views of Hannibal, the Mississippi River, and the Illinois farmlands beyond. Named for a legend of ill-fated Native American lovers, it features a double-heart sculpture for couples to place love padlocks.

Driving
Lovers' Leap is located directly off MO-79, about 1 mile south of downtown Hannibal. From downtown, follow Main Street south, which turns into Highway 79. The entrance to Lover's Leap is well-marked with a sign. Parking is available on-site and is free.
Walking
From downtown Hannibal, you can walk south along Main Street/Highway 79 to Lover's Leap. The walk is approximately 1 mile and takes about 20-30 minutes. Be aware that you will be walking along a highway, so exercise caution. There are sidewalks for a portion of the way. No costs are associated with walking.
