From Independence, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the KCATA bus route 24, which services the area. Board the bus heading towards Kansas City. Stay on the bus for approximately 35 minutes. You will need to get off at the stop closest to Gladstone Blvd and 33rd Street. Once you disembark, walk north on Gladstone Blvd for about 5 minutes until you reach the Kansas City Museum, located at 3218 Gladstone Blvd.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing program in Independence. Start by heading towards the nearest bike path that leads to Kansas City. Follow the route that takes you along the Blue River Trail, which is scenic and safe. Continue north until you reach Gladstone Blvd. Turn left onto Gladstone Blvd and bike for about 10 minutes until you reach the Kansas City Museum, located at 3218 Gladstone Blvd.
Walking

Head east on Maple Ave towards N Liberty St. Turn left onto N Liberty St and continue walking until you reach E 23rd St. Cross E 23rd St to reach the bus stop, then take the KCATA bus route 24 towards Kansas City.
