If you are in the downtown area of Independence, start by heading west on East Walnut Street towards South Liberty Street. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach South Main Street. Turn left onto South Main Street and continue walking for approximately 0.8 miles until you reach East 23rd Street. Turn right onto East 23rd Street and walk for another 0.5 miles. You will cross over the state line into Kansas City. After crossing, turn left onto Highland Avenue. The Mutual Musicians' Foundation Building will be on your left at 1821 Highland Ave.

From Independence Square, catch the #57 bus towards South Kansas City. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 18th Street and Highland Avenue. After getting off, walk north on Highland Avenue for about 3 minutes, and you will find the Mutual Musicians' Foundation Building at 1821 Highland Ave.
