    The Peace Pavilion is located at 607 W Lexington Ave in Independence, MO. If you are already in the historic Independence Square area, it's a short walk east along Lexington Avenue. The museum is located on the north side of the street, a few blocks east of the Community of Christ Temple.

The Peace Pavilion is more than just a museum; it's an interactive experience designed to cultivate peace-building skills in children and adults alike. Located in Independence, Missouri, the Peace Pavilion offers over 25 exhibits focused on four key themes: Peace for Me, Peace for Us, Peace for Everyone, and Peace for the Planet. Visitors can explore exhibits that encourage identifying and managing feelings, practicing communication and cooperation, understanding diversity, and learning about environmental stewardship. From puppet theaters to laser mazes, recycling activities to exhibits showcasing different cultures, the Peace Pavilion provides hands-on learning experiences for all ages. The museum is particularly geared towards children ages 4-12, but also appeals to younger and older age groups. Originally located within the Community of Christ International Headquarters, the Peace Pavilion moved to its current, larger location in 2022 to expand its offerings and better serve the community. The building itself has a rich history, having once been a Ford dealership in the 1940s and later the Sunshine Center. Today, it stands as a beacon of peace, welcoming families, school groups, and community organizations to learn and grow together.
