Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto MO-21 S from your location in the Ozarks. Follow MO-21 S for about 22 miles until you reach the junction with US-67. Take the exit onto US-67 S. Continue on US-67 S for approximately 15 miles, then take the exit onto MO-72 W towards Poplar Bluff. After about 12 miles, turn right onto Taum Sauk Trail. Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park will be on your left at 148 Taum Sauk Trail, Middle Brook, MO 63656.

  For those using public transportation, you will need to take a Greyhound or similar bus service to the nearest town, which is in Poplar Bluff, MO. Once you arrive in Poplar Bluff, you may need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park, as public transport options may be limited. The distance from Poplar Bluff to the park is about 30 miles, and rideshare costs can vary based on demand but are typically around $30 to $50.
