Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the center of Pomme de Terre Lake, head southeast on State Highway 64. Continue for approximately 10 miles. Turn right onto Unnamed Road, and follow the road for about 2 miles until you reach Hermitage Campground. Look for the campground entrance on your left.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited in this rural area. The nearest bus service is located in nearby towns. If you are using public transportation, take the bus to Hermitage. From the Hermitage bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles southeast on State Highway 64. Then, turn right onto Unnamed Road and continue walking for about 2 miles to reach Hermitage Campground. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for times and routes.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Pomme de Terre Lake. Start your ride on State Highway 64 heading southeast for about 10 miles. After that, turn right onto Unnamed Road and bike for another 2 miles to reach Hermitage Campground. The roads are generally quiet, but be cautious of any vehicle traffic.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, you can start from Pomme de Terre Lake. It is a long walk, approximately 12 miles. Follow State Highway 64 southeast, then turn right onto Unnamed Road and continue until you reach the campground. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as this is a lengthy trek.
