    From downtown St. Charles, walk to the nearest bus stop on 1st Capital Drive. Take the #64 MetroBus towards the St. Louis MetroLink Station. Get off at the St. Louis MetroLink Station (about a 30-minute ride). From there, transfer to the MetroLink light rail heading towards Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44. Get off at the Forest Park-DeBaliviere stop. After exiting the station, head west on DeBaliviere Avenue, then take a left onto Fine Arts Drive to reach the Saint Louis Art Museum.

    If you have a bike, you can ride from St. Charles to the Saint Louis Art Museum. Start on the Katy Trail, heading south toward St. Louis. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with Riverfront Trail. Continue on the Riverfront Trail towards the south, and when you reach the intersection with the Forest Park Parkway, turn left. Follow the Parkway until you reach Fine Arts Drive. The museum will be on your right.
