Rudi Monastery, also known as Rughi Monastery, is a peaceful retreat located in the village of Rudi, in the Soroca District of Moldova. Established in 1777, the monastery stands as a testament to Moldavian religious architecture and history. The Holy Trinity Church, built in the old Moldavian style, is a highlight, showcasing the architectural traditions of the 14th century. Founded by brothers Andronachi and Teodor Rudea with financial support from Donciu from Mavilau, the monastery has faced periods of closure and restoration throughout its history. In 1846, it was briefly closed and repurposed, but was reopened in 1921. During the Soviet era, it was transformed into an orphanage and later a children's hospital before being restored as a monastery in 1992. Today, Rudi Monastery welcomes visitors with its tranquil environment and beautiful architecture. The monastery's grounds feature gardens and pathways, inviting peaceful exploration and reflection.
