Established in 1950 at the initiative of Leonid Brezhnev, it was originally named "The Central Park of Culture and Rest of the Leninist Komsomol". The park's current name, meaning "Valley of the Mills," is derived from the watermills that once dotted the area. Designed by architect Robert Kurz, the park spans 114 hectares, featuring a 34-hectare lake at its center. Over the years, Valea Morilor Park has become a vibrant recreational hub.
