Car
If you are driving from the center of Orheiul Vechi, head northeast on Strada Mihai Eminescu toward Strada Ștefan cel Mare. Continue on Strada Mihai Eminescu for about 1 kilometer. You'll see the signs directing you to Old Orhei. Follow the signs for another 5 kilometers, and you will arrive at the Old Orhei site. There is parking available near the entrance, but be aware that there may be a small fee for parking.
Public Transportation
To reach Old Orhei by public transportation, start at the Orheiul Vechi bus station. Take a local minibus (often labeled as 'marshrutka') heading toward Trebujeni. The fare is approximately 20 MDL (Moldovan Lei). The ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop for Trebujeni village. From there, it's a 20-minute walk to Old Orhei, following the signs. Ensure to check the bus schedule for the return trip, as they may not run frequently.
Walking
If you are already in Orheiul Vechi and prefer walking, you can reach Old Orhei by following the trail leading from the main tourist area. Start at the entrance where you see the visitor center, and look for marked walking paths. The walk will take you through beautiful landscapes and is approximately 4 kilometers long, taking about an hour. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
