To reach Orheiul Vechi from Chisinau, take a marshrutka (minibus) from the Central Bus Station. Marshrutkas depart frequently to either Trebujeni or Butuceni, the villages closest to the reserve. A ticket costs approximately 26-27 MDL. The journey takes about one hour. From Butuceni, it's a short 10-minute walk to the monastery. From Trebujeni, the walk is around 30 minutes. Check the departure times at the bus station, as schedules vary.

Taxis are available in Chisinau and can take you directly to Orheiul Vechi. The cost is approximately 300-400 MDL, and the journey takes around 45-50 minutes. It's advisable to negotiate the price beforehand or use a ride-hailing app like YandexGo, though its availability in Old Orhei may be limited.

From the center of Butuceni, follow the main road towards the Orheiul Vechi complex. The walk is approximately 10 minutes and offers scenic views of the surrounding landscape. The path is mostly flat, but be prepared for some uneven terrain as you approach the monastery.
