Rose Valley Park, or Valea Trandafirilor, is a beloved park in Chișinău, Moldova, offering a green escape within the city. Established in 1968, the park spans 145 hectares in the Botanica district and includes 9 hectares of lakes.Historically, the area was once a sanctuary for Slavic tribes between the 6th and 13th centuries. Known as Ross Valley, it hosted idols and altars dedicated to Slavic gods. Later, in the 1950s, rose plantations were introduced, leading to its modern name.The park features several lakes, walking paths, playgrounds, and sports fields. Visitors can also find restaurants and an amusement park, complete with Chișinău's only Ferris wheel. The Chernobyl Victims Memorial is located near the park's edge on Trandafirilor Street. Rose Valley Park provides a blend of natural beauty, recreation, and historical significance.
