    The Tank Monument in Tiraspol is a striking landmark that embodies the region's complex history. Featuring a T-34 tank, an iconic symbol of the Soviet Union, the monument honors the liberation of Tiraspol during World War II. It serves as a tribute to the soldiers' sacrifices and expresses the city's gratitude for their contribution to freedom.The T-34-85 tank was transported from Hungary in April 1945 and was a combat vehicle of Lieutenant Boris Sergeev. The tank, with tactical number 125 and the inscription "For the Motherland", reached Hungary. The monument is set in an open square, making it easily accessible and highly visible. The surrounding area provides a space for quiet reflection, and the site is often visited during national holidays and remembrance events.Located on 25th October Street, the monument is part of a larger complex, the Memorial of Glory, which includes a Wall of Memory with the names of Transnistrian defenders who died in 1990-1992 and a sculpture of the Grieving Mother. The Memorial of Glory was reconstructed in 2009-2010, with a fragment of a sculpture of a Soviet Army soldier in Afghanistan stolen in August 2010. In October 2011, the chapel of St. George the Victorious was built and consecrated.
