Getting There

Walking
Start at the Monte Carlo Casino, located at Place du Casino. From there, head southeast on Avenue de Monte-Carlo towards Boulevard des Moulins. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach the intersection with Boulevard du Larvotto. Turn right onto Boulevard du Larvotto and keep walking for about 600 meters. You will come to the end of the boulevard, where you will see the beach. Instead of heading to the beach, turn left onto Avenue de la Costa. Follow this road for about 800 meters until you reach the roundabout at the end. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue de France. Continue straight for another 300 meters until you reach the Avenue de la République. Turn right and walk for about 200 meters. You will see the Basilica Notre-Dame de l’Assomption on your left at 2 Rue d'Italie.

From your location in Saint Roman, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is the 'Monte Carlo' stop located on Avenue de Monte-Carlo. Catch Bus Number 1 towards Nice, which runs frequently. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Nice - Gare Routière' stop. Once you disembark, walk north on Avenue Thiers for about 250 meters, and then turn right onto Rue d'Italie. The Basilica Notre-Dame de l’Assomption will be located at 2 Rue d'Italie on your right.

If you prefer to take the tram, walk to the nearest tram stop at 'Monte Carlo' on Avenue de Monte-Carlo. Board Tram Line 2 towards 'Port Lympia'. After about 20 minutes, get off at 'Jean Médecin' stop. From there, walk straight along Avenue Jean Médecin for about 400 meters until you reach Rue d'Italie. Turn right onto Rue d'Italie, and the Basilica Notre-Dame de l’Assomption will be located at 2 Rue d'Italie on your left.
