Getting There

    If you are driving from Ulaanbaatar, head southwest on the M1 road towards the Bogd Khan Mountain area. Follow the signs towards the mountain. Once you reach the entrance of the Bogd Khan Mountain National Park, pay the entrance fee, which is approximately 5,000 MNT (Mongolian Tugrik) per person. Continue driving along the main road in the park until you reach the parking area near the trailhead for Их Хайрхан. From the parking area, it is a short hike to the viewpoint.

    You can take a public minibus (known as 'marshrutka') from Ulaanbaatar to the outskirts of Bogd Khan Mountain. Look for buses labeled 'Богд,' which leave from the central bus station. The fare is around 1,000 MNT. Once you arrive at the park entrance, pay the entrance fee of 5,000 MNT per person. After entering the park, you may need to hire a local taxi or walk to reach the trailhead for Их Хайрхан, as public transport does not go inside the park.

    From the parking area near the trailhead, follow the marked hiking trails towards Их Хайрхан. The hike is approximately 2 kilometers and will take around 30-45 minutes depending on your pace. Be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry water, as the trail can be steep in sections.
